The Church of the Ascension Preschool was established in 2013 as a ministry of the Episcopal Church of the Ascension dedicated to offering an excellent early childhood learning program to encourage children’s academic, physical, emotional, social, and spiritual growth in a safe and loving environment.
We offer one combined class for 3 and 4 year old children intended to help students become Pre-K/Kindergarten ready. Class is held from 9:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, following the Bradford Area School District calendar.
Students in the program will engage in imaginative play, experiential learning opportunities, and age appropriate religious instruction. We will enroll a maximum of eight students who are supervised by a classroom teacher and teacher’s aide. All program staff and volunteers are required to maintain current state and federal background clearances and complete church mandated abuse prevention trainings. Classroom teachers are trained and certified in First Aid and CPR.
Because we are committed to providing excellent early childhood learning to all children, the Church of the Ascension Preschool is offered free to all families. The only cost to attend is a $25 registration fee per child.
